This year’s Provocation Ideas Festival will host a series of free programs at Innis College May 24 and 25, 2024 under the theme “Stories that define and shape up”. There will be performances, interviews, discussion, film screening and more.
Some of the events this year again include University of Toronto faculty.
This link provides more information about the Festival events in May and June. We have also partnered with the Toronto Public Library for an exploration the impact of AI on the arts, and with the Toronto International Festival of Authors’ Motive Festival for critical conversations on the justice system and Canada’s diverse communities; the real world of criminal investigation, and why true crime podcasts and fiction is so popular. In early June, we will also be releasing the results of a national survey of public opinion on perceptions of free expression as it impacts Islamophobia and antisemitism, followed by an event that looks at these issues in depth.
I do hope you may be able to attend some of these events and let others know.
Best regards,
Mark
